**Abu Sa'id al-Khudri** (أبو سعيد الخدري) lived during the 1st century AH and was an [[al-Ansar|Ansari companion]] of [[Prophet Muhammad]] (peace be upon him and his family), and a member of the [[Bani Khudra tribe]] in Medina. He is a prolific narrator of hadith and his narrations are foundational to the studies of [[Fiqh|Islamic jurisprudence]].
